BTD Wine Case Racks

A BTD Wine Case Rack is the lower cost, more space efficient method of providing specific or general purpose organised storage space in your cellar. A BTD rack is just 60cm wide and will securely store 120 or 144 loose or in-carton bottles at less than half the cost of most recognised pocket style racking. Every cellar should have at least one BTD (By-The-Dozen) rack. Use it to: Organise that untidy, difficult to access, assortment of wine cartons now stacked in the corner of your cellar Protect your maturing wines from light damage by storing them in their cartons in an easy to access and audit manner Store and display your fresher wines (their full label can be on view) Provide overflow storage for those wines you do not yet have wine rack pockets for Store odd bottles including beers, mixers and non-alcoholics Each shelf of a BTD rack will hold 24 bottles in dozen or half dozen cartons (in lay-down or standing bottle attitude) or in loose standing open storage. Shelves have been custom sized and spaced specifically for wine carton storage. Exclusive Side Rails make it easier to slide laden cartons into their correct storage position and will also prevent any loose stored standing bottles from being accidentally pushed over the ends of their shelf. Rack components have been sized to allow easy in–the-cellar assembly or to allow those assembled outside to be carried in by one only person.

 All shelves will accept two off 12 bottle or four off six bottle cartons. Shelves are a generous 36cm deep to provide full support for all carton sizes including the few that may be obliged to be stored in lay-down attitude because they stand too tall for the nominated shelf clearance heights.

Standard shelf is 32.5 cm clearance height: suitable for all standard size wine (and beer) bottle cartons in lay-down or standing attitude.

High shelf is 39 cm clearance height: suitable for most popular sparkling and tall still wine bottle cartons in lay-down or standing attitude.

Assembly & Installation of Your Wine Case Rack

BTD racks are delivered in easy and practical to assemble kits containing Shelves, Legs and Side Rails. These are made in Australia from ABS high strength plastic for superior structural performance and for easier one person assembly and installation.

Shelves are 60cm wide (54cm usable) by 36cm deep by 3 cm “thick”. They fully integrate with the legs and do not require any fixing hardware.

Legs are supplied in shorter length sections that push one into the next using a very secure long post and tapered and hole technique to create sturdy, square section support.

Side Rails are of a flush fitting fully integrated design that guide laden wine cartons smoothly to the back of the rack and provide a safety barrier for any loose standing bottles.

Installation. In common with all heavily laden tall racking and shelving with a relatively narrow footprint, BTD racking must be secured to a vertical surface for extra security. This can be done using screws or similar that can be fitted by drilling direct through the legs or by attaching small brackets to the legs. Attaching hardware is not supplied.
